A big welcome to my stop on the blog tour for Cold Winter Sun by Tony Forder.
Cold Winter Sun is published on 1st November 2018 by Bloodhound Books.
When Mike Lynch is contacted by his ex-wife about the missing nephew of her new husband, he offers to help find the young man with the help of his friend Terry Cochran.
Arriving in LA to try and track down the young man, the pair are immediately torn away when the missing man’s car shows up, abandoned on the side of a deserted road in New Mexico.
When two fake police officers cross their path, Terry and Mike know there is more to the case than meets the eye, and soon they find themselves asking exactly who it is they are really looking for…
A missing man. A determined hunter. A deadly case.

Thank you to Emma Welton and the publisher for issuing me with my review copy of the book and for inviting me to take part on the blog tour.
I was first introduced to Tony Forder and his books when I read the first in the Mike Lynch series, Scream Blue Murder last year and this is the perfect sequel to come back with. Although this is definitely fine to be read as a standalone book, I would really recommend reading the first book, simply because it is very good.
Mike Lynch is back and in my eyes a little more hardened following the events of Scream Blue Murder. His (Rambo-like) friend, Terry is also along for the ride as they become embroiled in looking for a missing man in America, following a call from his ex-wife. Although reluctant to get involved, Mike can’t turn down the advantage of being able to spend some time with his beloved daughter who unfortunately lives on the other side of the world with her mum.
Mike and Terry are a fascinating pair to read about. Ex-Military, they have such an interesting way of preparing for anything and I really enjoyed the in-depth knowledge we are treated to, this is the type of book I love reading as I do love a good action book that keeps you entertained as soon as you turn the first page.
The action really ramps up once they get on the trail of Vern, the missing young man and the plotline really steps up a notch. With some added twists and an incredibly interesting storyline, I was hooked and determined to try and understand which way the author was going to go. I didn’t guess right!
A brilliant action and fast paced book that I loved every minute of – hopefully there will be more to come!
